If you want to get a cucumber harvest that pleases the eye, soul and taste buds, you should follow a number of rules when planting them.
There is nothing particularly complicated or tricky, but your summer cottage neighbor certainly won’t tell you about these tricks.
But the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh will tell us.
First of all, you should know that cucumbers should not be planted in the same place for several years in a row, since they absorb nutrients from the soil.
The expert recommends alternating different vegetables in one bed. For example, you can use the former "registration place" of tomatoes to plant cucumbers.
By the way, the beds should be correctly located. It is recommended to choose a flat or slightly inclined area for them.
Avoid planting the crop on steep slopes as rain can damage the plant.
If the beds are on a slope, plant on the sunny side of the plot, thereby minimizing the risk of over-watering, which can lead to rotting.
