How to understand that indoor plants do not have enough light: they become “leggy”

It is hard to imagine a more successful addition to an interior than indoor plants.

Among other things, they create coziness and improve the atmosphere.

But their healthy and blooming appearance will please you only if you provide them with proper care, first of all, a sufficient amount of light.

It, that is, light, is primarily needed so that the plant has the energy it needs for photosynthesis.

How can you tell if the available lighting covers all the flower's needs? You should pay attention to a number of signs: they indicate that there is still not enough light.

You should be wary if the plants start to look "leggy", that is, if their stems are too long and the leaves are thin.

As a result, the flower takes on a disproportionate appearance, and to an outsider it may seem as if no one is taking care of it at all.

Once green foliage may turn yellow or at least pale due to lack of light.

The size of the leaves can also be a warning sign if they become smaller than usual.

Of course, when the leaves stop growing altogether, you should be no less worried, because this means that the plant has no energy.

Exactly the same conclusions can be made if the “green pet”, which is supposed to bloom, still cannot produce buds or blooms too weakly.

If you notice any of the above signs, consider moving the pot to a brighter location or using special lamps that simulate sunlight.
