If gardeners do not want to buy soil for their plants, then they need to think about how to prepare it in advance.
It is not that difficult to do. After all, for a base or universal primer only 2 components are required.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist, agronomist, landscape designer, told how to make a universal soil.
The recipe for a universal soil mixture is very simple. To make it, you need two components.
Most often, this is peat, as well as perlite or vermiculite, but other leavening agents can also be used.
The ingredients are mixed in a 50/50 ratio. That is, one part of peat will require the same amount of baking powder.
But as for the baking powder itself, you can use perlite in its pure form. But it is better to mix it with other components.
Thanks to this, the soil will become looser, and therefore more permeable to air and moisture.
For example, you can mix perlite and zeolite and add charcoal. In this case, the mixture is prepared in a ratio of (20/20/10).
This recipe will help out gardeners who have entire greenhouses at home. In such cases, it is more economical to prepare the soil mixtures yourself.
For reference
Soil is a natural object formed as a result of the transformation of the surface layers of land under the combined influence of soil-forming factors.
