If you feel depressed during the cold season, try to get rid of the blues with the help of an exciting activity - floriculture.

The expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh has specially compiled a selection of pretty flowers, which, among other things, are unpretentious in care.

Maranta leucovina

This unusual indoor plant is easy to recognize by its green patterned leaves. Among its preferences is a little humidity, so even a beginner can cope with its cultivation. In addition, the plant is non-toxic to pets.

Interesting fact: at night, the maranta folds its leaves together as if it were praying, which is why it is called the prayer plant.

Calathea Lancifolia

This flower has narrow and rather dense leaves, which is why it is sometimes called the snake plant.

Calathea tolerates darkening well, and at night it releases oxygen, so it is an ideal flower for the bedroom. The main thing is to remember to water it on time and do not leave it at low temperatures, otherwise the flower will die.

Ceropegia woodii

This creeping perennial has heart-shaped leaves with splashes of yellow and lime green. Ceropegia, which is easy to grow and adapts to different light levels, will happily add a splash of color to your home.

For reference

Houseplants are plants that are grown in rooms and public spaces.
