However, mistakes can make the process meaningless.
What are some of the shortcomings that are important to avoid?
Fresh foliage
It is important to remember that fresh leaves are not suitable for compost. Therefore, it is worth waiting for the moment when plant remains change color.
After this, you can safely send the leaves to the compost.
Suspected of disease or pests
If you have even the slightest suspicion regarding diseases or pests, then such plant residues should not be added to the compost.
Otherwise, the fertilizer will cause a lot of harm.
Waste products
It is important to remember that the contents of the trays are not suitable for "filling" the compost. Therefore, it is worth disposing of waste in the usual way.
Balance
It is worth knowing that all components of compost must be balanced. Therefore, you cannot introduce too much of one or another element.
All components should be present in approximately equal quantities.
