In anticipation of the cold weather, pests actively look for reliable shelters for wintering. As a rule, for this purpose they choose fruit trees and bushes, where they can wait out the frosts.

With the arrival of spring, insects will awaken and begin to attack the garden, damaging plants, spreading diseases and depriving you of your harvest.

Not only insects, but also fungi and infections, which can also cause the death of plants at the beginning of the new season, show resistance to winter cold.

Therefore, the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh once again reminds about the need for autumn garden treatment, which is an important measure for protecting your plants.

How to treat a garden against pests and diseases.

1. The first option is a self-prepared spray solution.

To prepare the solution you will need 10 liters of water and 500 grams of iron sulfate or 200 grams of copper sulfate.

These substances dissolve poorly in cold water, so they should first be diluted in a small amount of warm water, and then the volume should be brought to 10 liters.

Before pouring the solution into the sprayer, it is recommended to strain it through cheesecloth to avoid clogging the device with remaining particles of the product.

2. There is another effective method, which involves using Bordeaux mixture.

You can buy a ready-made concentrate and dilute it according to the instructions on the product packaging. In addition, you have the opportunity to prepare the mixture yourself by dissolving 300 grams of copper sulfate and 400 grams of lime in 10 liters of water.
