Once you have harvested your apples, another equally important step comes: proper storage.

Mistakes can result in the loss of harvested crops.

What should you remember about storing apples?

First of all, you shouldn't put apples that look too ripe into storage: it's unlikely that you'll be able to save them. It's better to eat such products right away or prepare tasty and healthy dishes based on them.

Apples with any signs of disease or the slightest damage should not be stored. Apples should be handled with extreme care, as if you were handling eggs.

Take a suitable container and carefully lay out the apples. They should lie in one layer. Then make sure that you have provided darkness and high humidity.

The temperature should not be higher than three degrees Celsius.

Approximately once a week, the apples are inspected and the ripest ones are removed for consumption. If you notice any fruits that have begun to spoil, they should be removed immediately.
