For some, the carrot harvest is already approaching, while others will have to wait a little longer.
Therefore, it is worth refreshing the information on the rules for harvesting carrots.
The first step is to do the final weeding: try to remove all the weeds. This will make the process of digging up the carrot harvest much easier.
If you have light soil with good texture, then carrots just need to be pulled out carefully. But denser soils require a different approach.
In this case, a pitchfork would be a relevant choice.
It is worth removing the tops immediately after harvesting: if you do not do this, the carrots may become too "sluggish". Therefore, with a knife or pruning shears, we remove almost all the tops, leaving only a couple of centimeters.
After this, you need to lay the carrots on the ground and wait a few hours. You should be careful: you just need to shake off the soil slightly.
After this, we remove excess soil and send the carrot harvest for permanent storage.
