One of the important stages of preparing ornamental plants and flower crops for winter is pruning.

However, this procedure will only harm some plants.

We tell you which plants are not recommended to be pruned in the fall.

What flowers should not be cut in autumn

You should not prune subulate phlox, heuchera, saxifrage, bergenia, alchemilla, nummularia, oregano, tiarella, or bugleweed in the fall.

Thyme, the leaves and flowers of which are good as a spice and for tea, should be pruned so that it has time to grow foliage before winter.
