July is often a very hot month.
During this period, the thermometer readings may well rise above +30 degrees.
Many summer residents perceive such weather conditions as very dangerous.
And for good reason, because at temperatures above +33, tomato pollen thickens. The result may be the loss of a significant part or even the entire harvest.
The situation becomes even more serious if tomatoes are grown not in open ground, but in a greenhouse.
The thing is that the air temperature in the greenhouse is even higher. In such conditions, the plant can burn out.
Fortunately, the garden crop can be saved.
To do this, you need to perform two simple steps, which were described by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
The easiest way to reduce the air temperature in the greenhouse is to open all the doors and vents.
In this case, air will start to flow into the room. It will become much cooler.
Another way to protect tomatoes from the heat is to use white cloth.
This material must be placed directly on the greenhouse.
But you shouldn't cover the entire greenhouse. It's enough to cover the structure only on the sunny side.
The white color will reflect the sun's rays, making the room less hot.
Earlier, summer residents were told why they should feed peppers with millet.
