If you want to get a noticeable result from growing gooseberries on your plot (in the form of berries, of course), you will have to think about how to protect it from powdery mildew.
Experienced farmers claim that powdery mildew is a dry period disease. This means that drip moisture does not contribute to the spread of this disease, so the appearance of the disease can be prevented by spraying.
All that remains is to figure out what you can spray the gooseberries with, and that's it.
If the dew has not yet attacked your gooseberry, you can take your time with using Topaz and other toxic preparations - folk remedies will do for prevention.
The main requirement for the ash solution is that it must be strong. This means that to prepare it you will need from 3 to 6 liters of ash per 10 liters of water.
Leave the mixture to infuse for 24 hours, and after the specified time, apply the ash solution to the surface of the leaves.
Just don’t forget to add 50 g of soap – laundry or green – to the solution before doing this.
Preparing this mixture is even easier: just dissolve a tablespoon of soda ash in a 10-liter bucket of water, and you can start processing the leaves.
Both treatments should be repeated every two weeks.
