Summer residents believe that there is no escape from late blight. This is partly true, and if you do not take preventive measures, then one day the entire harvest will be left to be disposed of.

It is impossible to stop the spread of this disease, but everyone can prevent its occurrence.

People practice several proven methods of control. All of them are inexpensive and effective.

Potassium permanganate solution

To prepare, you will need to dissolve 1-2 grams of potassium permanganate in 10 liters of water, and then treat the tomato bushes.

The product is simple, accessible and is considered the most popular method of preventing and protecting plants.

Copper-containing preparations

Bordeaux mixture. Dissolve copper sulfate and slaked lime in water. The product is used to treat tomato bushes.

A fairly effective and inexpensive way to combat late blight, creating a protective barrier.

Skeptics who, for obvious reasons, do not believe in the power of folk remedies are recommended to use industrial fungicides - "Hom", "Oksikhom", "Ordan" and other analogues.

Their composition allows to destroy fungal spores and prevent the occurrence of the disease in the future.

Alternatively, you can use biological preparations - "Planriz" or "Fitosporin", which prevent the development of the disease without harming the soil and plants.

Folk remedies

Summer residents who are in favor of ecologically clean farming console themselves with hopes by treating their plantings with a decoction of onion peel, pine needles, as well as infusions of garlic or ash.

These products are also believed to create a protective barrier on tomato bushes.

Earlier we talked about whether it is possible to plant pumpkin and zucchini in the same bed.
