In the second half of summer, the plant does not particularly need nitrogen.
But the garden crop needs potassium and phosphorus components.
In July and August, cucumbers will “respond” well to potassium nitrate and superphosphate.
Pest control
During the second and third summer months, the plant is especially vulnerable to aphids and spider mites.
The condition of cucumber bushes should be checked twice a week. Weeds should be removed with the same frequency.
