What to mix carrot seeds with

In what case do summer residents have to thin out carrots? The answer is simple: in the situation when the plantings are too dense.

Failure to thin out the roots may result in each root crop receiving few useful components. In addition, the carrots will acquire an irregular shape.

But if a summer resident uses one little trick when sowing a crop, the latter will not grow too densely. This means that there will be no need to do long and tedious thinning.

To achieve the desired result, mix carrot seeds with fine sand.

It also makes sense to take a plastic bottle, remove the cap and make holes in it.

Next, pour a mixture of seeds and sand into the container. Then close the container with a perforated lid.

The bottle will act as a kind of dispenser. The seeds should be poured onto the soil from this seeder in much the same way as salt from a salt shaker.

Earlier, summer residents were told whether it is possible to sprinkle ash under an apple tree .
