If you want the planted radishes to grow large, hot and crunchy, you cannot do without using fertilizers.
According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , on poor soils it is better to use natural compounds for fertilizing this crop, since radishes have a short vegetation period and the chemicals will not have time to “weather” out of the fruits.
You can use cow, horse or chicken manure, which should be soaked in water for 5-7 days, then diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 10 (in the case of chicken - 1 to 15) and watered the beds.
Granulated manure is also suitable; 4-5 tablespoons of it should be diluted in 10 liters of water and used for watering in the same way.
For this top dressing you will need 0.5 kg of dolomite flour of the finest fraction and 3 g of succinic acid powder. Both “ingredients” need to be mixed and then used to dust the radish beds.
Finally, the plantings need to be watered with water from a watering can.
The fertilizer that makes the soil fertile is prepared by diluting 1 tablespoon of potassium humate in 10 liters of water. Be sure to add a couple more teaspoons of "Baikal EM 1", stir and water the radish.
