Flowering of seedlings may be untimely, that is, before the gardener transplants the seedlings into the ground or greenhouse.

Buds that appear on seedlings at home can puzzle the gardener.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told how to save the harvest.

If tomato seedlings bloom before transplanting, then this is a sure sign of a strong and mature bush.

But if there is lush flowering, it can disrupt the development of the plant, which should develop roots, a thick stem and healthy foliage before planting in the ground.

Why do seedlings bloom?

There are only three reasons that can trigger premature flowering.

These are early sowing of seeds, high indoor air temperature and excess nutrients.

What to do

Early and lush flowering will negatively affect the harvest. Therefore, the first thing to do is to reduce watering.

Then the seedlings are removed to a cooler place.

At the same time, fertilizing and applying fertilizers are excluded.

But you shouldn't pick off the flowers, just like you shouldn't pinch the bushes. If possible, the seedling should be put in a greenhouse.

They also say that regular and light stroking of the tops of the bushes for one minute helps slow down flowering.
