1. Zucchini like well-lit and draft-free beds.
2. The soil should be neutral or slightly alkaline.
3. Don't forget about crop rotation and don't plant zucchini where potatoes or pumpkins grew before. Excellent predecessors are tomatoes, greens, carrots, garlic and legumes.
Add a bucket of compost (humus) per square meter of the bed when digging, add a little less than a handful of ammonium nitrate and 1 tablespoon each of potassium sulfate and superphosphate.
