How to protect an apple tree from ants: a brilliant invention will help – an old-fashioned method
Many summer residents complain that ants “attack” the apple trees growing in their gardens year after year.
The problem is that these insects spread numerous diseases and contribute to the appearance of aphids on apple trees, which always has a negative impact on the harvest.
In this regard, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared an old-fashioned method of protecting apple trees from ants, which allows you to avoid the use of chemicals and is absolutely safe for trees.
To evaluate the effectiveness of this method in practice, you will need an old garden wheel.
First, cut the wheel into two pieces, then place the halves around the apple tree.
Now make a small hole in the ground under the tree and place the wheel parts there.
After this, seal the cut on the wheel with super glue and fill it with water.
Since ants cannot swim, such an obstacle will prevent them from reaching the apple tree.
