Summer residents are constantly looking for new and original ways to help improve their plots.

One of these secrets, which surprises many, is the use of old rusty pitchforks – gardeners and vegetable growers protect their harvest in this way.

Try it yourself - instead of throwing away the old tool, stick the pitchfork into the ground with the sharp ends facing up.

Don't be skeptical - at first glance this method may seem strange and impractical, but it will soon prove its effectiveness.

The pitchfork does not need to be cleaned, and its condition is also not important – the main thing is that it is sharp.

Some farmers decorate their pitchforks with old metal caps suspended from a rope to make a makeshift scarecrow.

But the easiest way is to use empty tin cans - they rattle no less loudly in the wind, scaring birds away from the harvest.

Thus, the metal, which rings with every breath of wind, provides effective protection against feathered thieves, who no longer risk approaching the harvest, reports the publication “Khibiny” .

Earlier, BelNovosti wrote about a fertilizer that will make seedlings grow wider.
