The wrinkled surface of potatoes that can be observed when checking stored tubers is often the result of freezing.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises not to rush to throw away such potatoes – they can be useful in gardening.

Collect such potatoes - you will need about 200 g - and wash them under running water, then chop them using a grater, meat grinder or blender (no need to peel).

Add enough water to make the mixture 1 liter in volume and boil for 20 minutes, then cool.

Now take any preparation with trichoderma (a tablespoon in liquid form or 10 g in dry form), add it to the jar with potato broth and cover the container with a paper napkin. To prevent it from flying off, secure the napkin with an elastic band.

The jar should be left in a warm place, and in about a week you will notice trichoderma growing on the surface of the potato, it may foam a little. The color may be grassy or deep green with white specks. All this is trichoderma.

Using a clean, alcohol-soaked spoon, scoop up the resulting trichoderma and dissolve it in a bucket of water. The resulting product can be used for watering and spraying all available plants.

After 5-7 days from the first application, a new layer of trichoderma will form on the surface of the potato solution. It can also be used for the benefit of the garden and vegetable garden.

Thus, the process of Trichoderma growth becomes continuous, and the resulting product will last for the entire gardening season.

Earlier, the expert told which plants can be fed with potato peels.
