It is no secret that for active nutrition and moisture absorption, plants need a well-developed root system, which should be taken care of already at the seedling stage.
Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh offers several ways to help achieve the set goal.
One of the important factors is good lighting. Use special phytolamps with a range of light that promotes plant growth.
Proper regular watering also promotes the development of the root system, since the roots strive deep for moisture. For this reason, experienced gardeners resort to watering through a tray and allow the top layer of soil to dry out.
In pursuit of a powerful root system, it is very important to provide plants with good access of oxygen to the roots. To do this, when planting, choose loose soil, and to improve air permeability, add perlite or vermiculite.
Interesting fact: roots begin to branch when they encounter dense particles in the soil, for example, the same vermiculite, which also promotes the development of the root system.
Finally, I would like to advise you not to forget about the truly magical effect of stimulating drugs, as well as about picking, which promotes the appearance of lateral roots. But be careful: the latter procedure is not indicated for all crops.
