An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh decided to find out why this is happening.
Among the reasons, it is worth mentioning the violation of the rules for caring for the crop, for example, when the gardener allows water to get on the leaves. As a result, the leaves "burn" and brown spots appear on them.
The next factor that may be relevant to the problem under consideration is a change in temperature, namely a sharp transition from heat to cold and vice versa.
Diseases can also leave their mark on cucumber leaves.
Thus, due to ascochytosis, the foliage is “decorated” with yellow marks, which subsequently turn brown with an olive border.
In turn, the distinctive feature of cladosporiosis is coffee-brown spots surrounded by a green border.
The fight against such an undoubtedly negative phenomenon depends on the reason for the appearance of the spots.
If the marks on the leaves appeared due to improper care, adjust the watering and fertilizing regimes, monitor the temperature and humidity. If the changes in the appearance of cucumbers are associated with diseases, use fungicides or biological preparations.
