Don't Plant These 3 Trees in Your Garden: You'll Block the Growth of Other Plants

18.01.2024 05:20

Wanting to decorate their country plot, some summer residents decide to plant certain trees there.

As a result, the garden does become more beautiful. But problems may also arise.

For example, the appearance of a huge number of branches and leaf blades lying on the ground. Or the breakdown of sewer pipes.

But perhaps the most serious difficulty may be the “squeezing out” of other representatives of the flora by the planted tree.

It is possible that a woody plant will “take over” the plot, preventing the summer resident from getting a good harvest of apples, pears, plums and berries.

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh listed trees that have no place in the garden.

Poplar

This tree grows very quickly, shedding a huge number of branches.

The plant is distinguished by its powerful root system, located quite close to the earth's surface. Because of this, many garden crops may lose the "competition" to the poplar.

Silver birch

Yes, the tree is beautiful. But if it grows in the garden, it creates many difficulties.

Thus, garbage appears on the ground. In addition, the birch begins to "capture" the area, blocking the growth of other plants.

Norway maple

The presence of this tree in a garden plot will certainly lead to a loss of the harvest of apples, pears, etc.

Earlier we shared the secret of a good spring “start” for pears : in April you need to add one important fertilizer.
