How to properly flood a skating rink at your dacha: there are 8 important recommendations

It's the middle of winter, and at the moment there are quite severe frosts in Belarus.
So it's time to flood the rink and take the skates outside.
It is important to understand that it is better to fill the rink at a temperature of -5 degrees so that the water freezes faster.
For the roller to be used successfully, the soil must be frozen to at least 5 cm.
What you need to know when flooding a rink
Here are some recommendations.
- This process should be carried out in the evening so that the ice can set better.
- The weather should be clear, without precipitation or strong wind.
- First, lightly spray the surface and let it freeze.
- The rink is filled in several stages with 2 cm layers of water – each layer freezes for half an hour.
- It is better to pour from a corner and spread the water evenly.
- It is better to pour warm water over the last layer so that the surface becomes smooth faster.
