Gardeners who can't resist the attractive appearance of the willow believe that it will not pose a threat to the environment if planted in a large pot and limited in nutrition.
But, as experience shows, despite the efforts made, the willow will still grow very intensively and no container will withstand the pressure of the roots, breaking into pieces.
The willow has a very developed root system, which can extend up to 20 meters from the tree.
This “feature” of it can pose a threat to the foundations of buildings.
However, if the building is small and has a shallow foundation, planting a willow will most likely not cause problems.
However, if the building has a complex structure and a deep foundation, it is recommended to avoid planting willow near such structures.
