Replenishing the lack of microelements and nutrients in the soil is one of the important conditions for obtaining a good raspberry harvest.
But fertilizers need to be chosen correctly.
Using the wrong product can cause the plant to wilt and reduce yields.
Unfortunately, many gardeners feed raspberries incorrectly. As a result, the plant becomes vulnerable to diseases, and not many berries form on the bushes. In addition, the fruits do not have a bright taste.
An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh named a remedy that is mistakenly perceived by many summer residents as useful for raspberry bushes.
Raspberries need potassium. Therefore, it is necessary to apply potassium fertilizers.
But the danger will be posed by a product that contains chlorine: the fruit crop reacts negatively to this element.
Thus, any potassium fertilizer containing chlorine is dangerous for raspberries.
Nitrogen fertilizers must be applied to the area where raspberries are grown.
After all, the plant needs the appropriate component until mid-July.
But after this date, excess nitrogen can seriously harm the crop. Therefore, do not overdo it with such fertilizing in the second half of summer.
