Why experienced gardeners are in no hurry to replace the soil in the greenhouse: disadvantages of the procedure that few people realize
It is no secret that some gardeners occasionally think about replacing the soil in a greenhouse installed on their plot.
They are driven, as the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained, by the desire to increase soil fertility.
But is it worth resorting to such a solution?
In a greenhouse, it is indeed possible to remove the top layer of soil and add new soil, but this process cannot be described as anything other than labor-intensive.
In addition, you will need a lot of money to buy new soil, which, again, will have to be brought into the greenhouse, and such work also does not fall into the easy category (see the point above).
If you do not have sufficient knowledge or, on the contrary, are not devoid of excessive trust in people, there is always a chance to run into poor-quality soil.
In this case, despite the physical efforts and money spent, the operation will not produce such a result.
Therefore, plant growers with impressive experience are in no hurry to carry out this procedure, instead preferring to cultivate the soil already in the greenhouse and add humus or compost to it.
