What threatens thuja in winter
There are two threats.
- Lack of moisture. Spring yellowing of thuja can occur due to lack of water - the same applies to pine, spruce and other coniferous trees. During the thaw, thuja begins to "breathe", which leads to evaporation of moisture. Therefore, in the autumn period, it is recommended to do moisture-charging watering.
- Sunburn. February and early spring sun can cause damage to plants. Yellow needles are sometimes a product of sunburn. Therefore, it is better to use covering material during this period.
