Secondly, do not neglect pruning. In autumn, sanitary pruning is carried out, all diseased, dried and damaged branches are removed.
Thirdly, it is extremely important not only to remove all the fruits from the tree, but also to collect the fallen fruit.
Pests overwinter in fallen leaves. Not a single apple should be left on the ground. Rotten apples should be disposed of together with fallen leaves.
