The appearance of late blight on tomatoes can be prevented not only by treating them with special agents.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh talks about two unexpected ways to protect tomatoes from late blight.
The first option is to cover the tomato bed with non-woven material or film.
This will not only protect tomatoes from late blight and other troubles, but will also significantly extend the growing season. You can also install film tunnels.
The second option is to plant mustard after tomatoes. As it grows, it is cut off and the tops are scattered across the beds.
Mustard will clear the area not only from late blight, but also from aphids, wireworms, nematodes and slugs.
