The cabbage harvest has long been collected. And every summer resident hopes that nothing terrible will happen to the vegetables stored in the cellar in the winter.
This desire of the gardener is quite understandable: he wants the cabbage to remain fresh and juicy until the beginning of the next summer cottage season.
Unfortunately, this result is not achieved in all cases.
And all because not all owners of country plots properly monitor the condition of the harvest.
Sometimes summer residents begin to “save” vegetables quite early, but often gardeners act too late.
An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what to do if cabbage leaves have dried out.
The answer to this question may surprise many. But if we are talking about minor drying of leaves, then there is no need to take any measures.
However, this recommendation does not mean that the condition of the crop should not be monitored.
From time to time, the gardener should inspect the cabbage to make sure that the leaves have not turned black.
If the top of the head of cabbage has acquired the "wrong" color and has become damp, all the top leaves must be removed immediately. Removing all traces of rot increases the chances of preserving the harvest.
