Probably, every self-respecting summer resident has a capacious barrel of water for irrigation on his plot.
Very often metal is used to make such products, and everything would be fine if not for one thing: due to constant contact with water, this material begins to rust.
Fortunately, there are several options that will help you protect the product from destruction - we will tell you about them in this article.
1. Perhaps the easiest way to protect metal from corrosion is to paint the inside of the barrel with moisture-resistant enamel.
2. Another, no less effective method is to use bitumen, which is also applied to the metal surface.
The advantage of this option is that bitumen can be used to seal existing small corrosion holes in the barrel.
3. If you are in a hurry and have no time to mess around with enamel and bitumen, but you need the barrel right now, try to solve the problem with a thick large bag.
It must be placed inside the barrel, after which it can be filled with water.
