What kind of pests do summer residents not have to fight? Some of them are tiny, barely visible to the naked eye, while others, like moles and mice, are simply impossible not to notice.
Regardless of size, any parasites cause colossal damage to plantings, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist, and a landscape designer.
She shared with us a method that is worth using if you want to get rid of pests such as hares that periodically raid your property.
Frankly speaking, there are quite a few such methods.
For example, some gardeners advise wrapping tree trunks with newspaper to protect them from sharp rabbit teeth.
Others prefer to apply a mixture of clay and cow dung to the trunks.
However, there is a much simpler and more convenient option - to influence the desire of hares to gnaw bark using the smells of fish oil and naphthalene.
To do this, place bags filled with mothballs or soaked in fish oil on the lower branches of trees.
