Whether you feed your strawberries in the fall will determine what your harvest will be next season.

However, sometimes everything does not go according to plan, and gardeners simply do not have enough time to carry out this mandatory procedure in a timely manner. If you are one of the “latecomers”, do not rush to get upset – according to the expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , in October you can still provide strawberries with additional nutrition.

During the second month of autumn, the plant is still absorbing nutrients before going into a dormant state.

So, the best option in such a situation would be foliar feeding, that is, spraying on the leaves.

The most suitable fertilizer, in turn, is potassium monophosphate.

To prepare the nutrient composition, you will need to dilute 5 g of the named preparation in 10 liters of water.

Use the resulting solution to spray the strawberries, after which it is time for another composition - borofoska, 20 g of which should be scattered under each bush.

All that remains is to mulch the strawberry beds, and you can leave them for the winter without worrying about the future harvest.
