What to do with sweet peppers so that they bear fruit even in winter: tricks from experienced gardeners

Only summer residents who have been growing sweet peppers on their plots for several years know that this crop can produce a harvest even with the onset of winter.

To do this, said the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , it is necessary to transplant the bushes from open ground into pots.

Although the plants need care, there is no need to be afraid - it is no more difficult than what was used when the peppers were grown in a greenhouse.

But the transplantation process itself requires certain knowledge.

Simply transplanting the plants into a box and placing them on a windowsill is not enough – without removing all the fruits and shortening the shoots, you are dooming the pepper to death.

Instead, after digging, each shoot should be cut short, after which the plant is transplanted into a pot filled with fresh soil.

In addition, the above-ground part of the plant must be treated using a solution of "Epin" or "Novosil".

Now you can be sure that the pepper will continue to bear fruit, and will do so throughout the winter.
