Autumn is undoubtedly considered a favorable time, which should be used to plant fruit trees on your plot, including apple trees.

However, the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advises to first find out in what place the apple tree will not grow, so as not to make a fatal mistake.

So, if the site chosen for planting is solid clay and undeveloped peat, the idea of planting an apple tree here should be abandoned.

The fact is that on these types of soil, water stagnation cannot be avoided.

This unpleasant phenomenon will occur every autumn and spring, causing damage to the root system of the young tree.

In addition, open areas were also included in the list of prohibited areas.

In this case, the reason is that in such a place, an apple tree that is not protected by plantings will be damaged by cold winter winds.

Instead, try to find a place for the apple tree on a plain or on a hill (not in a lowland), where the groundwater level is not closer than 1.5 meters, leaving a distance of 3 meters between the apple trees, and 10-15 meters between the apple trees and protective plantings.
