Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", landscape designer and scientist-agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh notes that it is enough to pay attention to three simple rules.
In order for vegetables to be stored well, they should not be put away immediately after harvesting. Experienced people in these matters believe that zucchini should be "warmed" in the sun in the fresh air for 48 hours.
Thanks to this simple trick, the shelf life is significantly increased.
First of all, it is worth noting that it is better to cook spectacular large zucchini: make caviar for the winter or treat yourself to delicious dishes within 1-2 weeks after harvesting.
But miniature vegetables and medium-sized zucchini are simply ideal for long-term storage.
It is also important to leave a tail, the length of which should not be less than five centimeters.
If you store zucchini in an apartment, it is advisable to hide each vegetable under a layer of paper. This will provide comfortable conditions for storing the product.
