Towards the end of summer, even experienced gardeners' cucumbers begin to look unattractive, since prolonged fruiting affects the condition of the crop.

During this time, the vegetable has already managed to use up all its reserves.

Therefore, the presence of yellow leaves should set you up for active action, says agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti.

What should you "treat" cucumbers with in mid-August?

If you want cucumber leaves to stop turning yellow or even take preventive measures, then you should pay attention to one worthy method.

You will need to take one standard container of ammonia per bucket of water. Its capacity is one hundred ml. This product is used to water vegetable beds.

Before applying the product, it is important to carry out regular watering. For each bush, take two liters of the prepared product. Ammonia can also be used for spraying, but the volumes of the components will be noticeably smaller.

As a rule, you can limit yourself to four spoons of the preparation per two liters of water.
