An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared two options for using stones in the garden, each of which is good in its own way.
Rockery made of stone
If you have not encountered such a phenomenon as a rockery before, let me explain what it is. It is nothing more than a special type of garden in which the main role is given to stones.
Rockery creation involves large stones – granite slabs, limestone or slate. Large pebbles will also do.
By the way, due to the fact that large stones are used in rockeries, the owner of the area on which it is installed receives not only a beautiful picture, but also a guarantee that the soil will not crumble, which often happens during, for example, heavy rains.
Stone paths
If you have gravel and sand at your disposal instead of large stones, consider creating garden paths from this material.
