If you have not yet been able to appreciate all the positive qualities of marigolds, try to carry out just one procedure in June, and you will see that these flowers are capable of taking on the role of a real decoration of the site.
It turns out that all you need to do to achieve this is pinch off the top of the plant.
This should be done when the flower’s height has reached 12 cm.
After this simple operation, the marigolds will begin to grow lateral shoots and will certainly turn into blooming balls, painted in bright colors.
Please note: To ensure that the procedure is successful, make sure that the flower has two pairs of already formed leaves at the top and bottom.
If marigolds were sown directly into the soil, pinching should be done only once.
If you choose to grow flowers using the seedling method, you will have to trim the top twice – this is the only way you can achieve effective growth and rich flowering.
