Many people know that the chemical composition of banana peels allows it to become an excellent fertilizer for a number of crops.
However, this exotic fruit undergoes special processing, as a result of which the product is no longer safe.
But with proper preparation, the peel can be safely used, says agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert for the online publication BelNovosti.
How to properly prepare the peel
First, you will need to take a container with four glasses of water. The temperature of the liquid should be warm. Then add one large spoon of soda and dissolve the powder.
After 15 minutes, the banana peel can be removed from the soda solution and dried thoroughly. In summer, this can be easily done in the sun.
Then you can safely start using the product.
Some simply use the crushed parts of the peel. Others prefer to grind the peel in a coffee grinder to a powder.
This is an excellent remedy not only for garden crops, but also for house plants.
