Weeds are inevitably perceived as something negative. Of course, they require physical and time-consuming removal, they choke out cultivated plants, and they carry pests.

But meanwhile, from weeds you can prepare a lot of useful infusions, organic, healthy and effective fertilizers.

Fertilizer from weeds

A classic universal recipe for weed tincture can be prepared using water. To do this, you need to collect the weeds, chop them up in a convenient way and put them in a plastic barrel.

The raw material should be filled with water, closed with a perforated lid and placed in the sun for 2 weeks for fermentation. After the specified time, the infusion should be filtered and diluted with water. Root and leaf feeding are allowed.

If the plants in the garden lack phosphorus or potassium, then you need to infuse sweet clover, thistle or goutweed. Chickweed, clover and quinoa are suitable for nitrogen.

Infusion for shrubs against pests and diseases

With the help of home organics, you can successfully protect such bushes as currants, raspberries, gooseberries. To do this, you need to prepare an infusion of celandine. It, which has good insecticidal and bactericidal qualities, needs to be collected about 5 kg, crushed, poured with water in a volume of up to 10 liters. The infusion should be kept for a day and a half in a warm place and then treated with strained bushes.

Nettle infusion as a growth stimulant

Nettle is a source of nitrogen, vitamins and a huge list of minerals. It works as a growth stimulant for young plants in the spring, when they need to gain green mass.

You can prepare an infusion by collecting young nettles without seeds, placing them in a barrel, taking up more than half of its volume. Then you need to fill the nettles with water, keep them in the sun for 10-14 days, strain and dilute with clean water to reduce the concentration of the infusion.

Organic liquid can be used only in spring. Otherwise, in summer it will activate the growth of green mass and the harvest will come to naught.

Dandelion Infusion for Pest Control

The common dandelion can successfully nourish the root system with useful substances and fight various pests. For the infusion, you need to collect 500 g of roots and leaves of this weed, grind them and pour 10 liters of water.

The infusion reaches the required concentration in 4 hours. After that, it is important to strain it from the raw materials and spray it on the plants that were attacked by ants, mites, and aphids.

Wormwood infusion

Many summer residents face such a problem as weevil. Chemicals are often used to combat it. However, it can also be dealt with using an organic insecticide.

To prepare it, you need to take a kilogram of wormwood cut the day before, pour about 5 liters of water into a container, and simmer over low heat.

The remaining and infused solution must be diluted with ordinary water, mixed with laundry soap and applied to the affected areas.

After uprooting, weeds can become useful raw materials for preparing effective infusions for fertilizers and pest control.
