Summer residents shared an unexpected way of using coffee grounds in the garden.

The grounds are used not only to make a scrub or to feed flowers.

Experienced gardeners start saving this valuable waste long before the start of the summer cottage season. When the time comes, this product comes in handy.

Many summer residents face an invasion of slugs. They usually strike at night, leaving an unpleasant surprise in the morning.

Coffee grounds help fight pests. The product is scattered on the soil near the plantings. This will make it more difficult for slugs to get to the plants.

Coffee residues stick to the bodies of gastropods and prevent them from moving. After this, they can even be collected by hand.

Before using, it is important to dry the grounds well so that they do not become moldy. Otherwise, there is a danger to the plantings.

Another way to stop slugs is to use eggshells. They are broken into small fragments, through which the gastropods will not crawl to their target.
