With this remedy even the most hopeless seedlings will turn green.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained how to revive a dry grape seedling.
Grapes are considered a popular plant in a summer cottage or garden plot. The vine not only produces tasty and healthy berries, but also provides shade on a hot day.
With the right planting location, grapes will delight their owners for many years. But it all starts with a seedling. Sometimes discounted plants appear in stores. They look dead, but experienced gardeners save a lot on this.
A dried seedling can be revived. But first, you need to examine the plant more closely. If the bark is actively peeling off, and the roots are brown, both inside and outside, then the seedling can no longer be saved.
If green tissue appears under the bark of the cutting after scraping, then there is every chance of turning it into a healthy and fruitful plant.
For this purpose, cytokinin paste is used. It is a powerful growth stimulant that awakens dormant buds.
The grape seedling is coated with paste. The roots are an exception; nothing is applied to them. After this, the cutting is placed in a container with a mixture of peat and sand.
Next, you need to wait until new roots and foliage appear, and after that you can prepare a place for planting.
