Although they say that the animal is useful to gardeners by catching underground pests, many still consider it right to drive away moles.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh shared several details that will help to decide on this issue.
So, you can drive away moles in the following ways.
1. Repellers
These devices are sold in any store. They produce special sounds that moles cannot stand. They can be installed anywhere on the site, and they work both from battery power and from solar energy.
2. People's developments
You can install a homemade device to scare away moles. To do this, summer residents simply place a tin can from canned food or drinks on a metal rod stuck into the ground. The noise scares the moles, and the device does not cause any harm.
3. Obstacles
Underground inhabitants navigate in space using their sense of smell. If they smell an unpleasant odor, they will crawl away in another direction. It is believed that moles do not like the smell of technical liquids, for which it is enough to wet a rag in kerosene or another substance and place it in the hole.
