The domestic cactus is unpretentious and hardy, grows in infertile soil and can go for a long time without water.
But this does not mean that the plant does not need any care at all. The prickly "pet" needs to be replanted after a certain time.
To accurately determine the moment when it is time to look for a new pot, it is worth following 3 signs.
1. The cactus root system began to emerge from the pot.
2. The soil in the pot dries out quickly and cracks. This may be a sign that the root system has grown too much and needs more space.
3. The cactus began to grow more slowly or stopped developing altogether.
The cactus is not watered immediately after transplantation. The soil is moistened for the first time after 4-5 days. The water should be warm (about 35 degrees).
Watering is carried out in small portions so that the liquid is absorbed gradually.
