Lilac is a plant that is distinguished by its unique aroma and ease of care.

However, despite its undemanding nature, lilacs should still be pampered with fertilizers, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist, and a landscape designer.

Fertilizers that can be used for lilacs include:

1. Organic fertilizers, such as humus or compost, which contain nutrients necessary for the growth and development of lilacs.

2. Nitrogen fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate, urea or ammonium sulfate, which help stimulate the growth of new leaves and flowers.

3. Phosphorus fertilizers such as superphosphate or monopotassium phosphate, which promote root development and improve the quality of flowers.

4. Potassium fertilizers, such as potassium sulfate or potassium chloride, which strengthen the plant's immune system and help it better resist diseases and pests.

It is important to remember that when using fertilizers, it is necessary to observe the dosage and follow the instructions on the package. It is also not recommended to use fertilizers too often, as this can lead to oversaturation of the soil with nutrients and cause problems with the growth and development of the plant.
