The grass that grows in your garden can give you a good idea of what's going on with the soil.

There are several weeds that will tell you what to do to improve the quality of the soil and thereby increase the harvest.

Buttercup caustic

The plant is also popularly called "night blindness". Small yellow flowers indicate that the soil is too dense, acidic and the plants in it receive little oxygen.

To reduce acidity, dolomite flour, lime or chalk are added. The area is dug up and loosening materials (sawdust, peat, humus) are used.

Dandelion

Indicates high potassium levels and calcium deficiency. A lack of this macronutrient will prevent the cabbage from growing dense and large heads, and the tomatoes will get sick.

Plantain

Poor aeration, high acidity and heavy soil. The presence of a large amount of plantain on the site indicates problems.

The situation in the area will be improved by 3 actions:

  • digging;
  • introduction of deoxidizing agents;
  • use of loosening materials.

If you trim the rosette of leaves, the plantain will no longer grow.
