Gardeners are struck by such a phenomenon as crooked and bitter cucumbers.

Deformed fruits in the garden beds do not inspire delight and the desire to continue growing them.

If you encounter such a problem, do not rush to pull out the cucumbers and throw them away; there is a way to help you deal with this problem.

And here's what you need to do - remember 3 rules.

1. Feeding cucumbers with microelements

If your cucumbers have become hook-shaped, small, bitter and grow poorly, then the problem is a lack of nutrition.

Cucumbers may lack potassium, causing the skin to turn yellow and the shape to become pear-shaped.

The situation can be corrected by preparing a solution of ash: 500 grams of ash per ten liters of water.

We feed the cucumbers with the prepared product, pouring about 1 liter under the roots.

It is useful to apply nitrogen fertilizers if cucumber leaves turn white and become smaller.

2. Violation of irrigation

Another reason that affects the growth of cucumbers makes them bitter and ugly.

If the watering regime does not correspond to the rules for caring for cucumbers, their taste will suffer greatly. The cucumbers will become hard and tasteless.

3. Temperature difference

Cucumbers do not tolerate sudden changes in temperature. They will react sharply by thinning in the middle of the fruit, and curvature cannot be avoided.

To prevent this, spunbond or mulching is used, which will help protect cucumbers from the cold.

In addition, improper proximity and untimely harvesting can affect the beautiful appearance and health of cucumbers.
