Currants grow on almost every summer cottage plot: this berry is held in high esteem by all gardeners.

There are reasons for this. Currants are responsive to the efforts of the gardener and always respond with a generous harvest of tasty and healthy berries.

Currants and aphids

Many gardeners harvest abundant berries. But they often face one problem.

Aphids are the sworn enemy of summer residents who grow currants and other berry and fruit crops. Currants most often suffer from this nimble and nasty pest.

Preventatives and industrial insecticides help modern gardeners solve the problem. But more economical and practical gardeners prefer folk tricks that have been tested by more than one generation.

Aphid Remedy

To protect bushes from pests, summer residents use a remedy that many have in their home medicine cabinet.

We are talking about ammonia. 40 ml of liquid are diluted in 10 liters of water, and then 100 g of laundry soap are added.

The resulting solution is used immediately. The bushes are sprayed thoroughly, leaving no chance for the pests to hide behind a twisted leaf.
